A Certified Naturally Grown Farm
Riggin Farm is Certified Naturally Grown, which means our produce is grown according to strict naturally grown standards without synthetic herbicides, pesticides, fungicides, or fertilizers.
We focus on building healthy soil rather than relying on chemical shortcuts. Our growing practices include no-till gardening, composting, cover crops, crop rotation, mulching, and other soil-building methods.
People often search for an organic farm when they are looking for food grown without synthetic chemicals. Although Certified Naturally Grown is separate from USDA Organic certification, both programs emphasize responsible growing practices and restrictions on synthetic inputs. We are always happy to explain exactly how our food is grown and how our animals are raised.
Pasture-Raised Meat and Farm-Fresh Eggs
Our animals are raised with access to pasture and managed as part of the farm’s regenerative system. Rotational grazing helps distribute fertility, protect the soil, and give animals room to express natural behaviors.
Our farm store may offer:
-
Pasture-raised pork
-
Grass-fed and pasture-raised beef
-
Breakfast sausage
-
Bacon
-
Bratwurst and smoked sausage
-
Ground beef and ground pork
-
Roasts, steaks and specialty cuts
-
Farm-fresh eggs from pasture-raised hens
Availability varies because we raise animals in limited quantities rather than producing meat through a large industrial system. Customers can shop individual cuts, watch for seasonal restocks or join an available Pork CSA.
